Clownin' Around

December 6, 2011
Idea #4 - Some great examples of clownin' around...
1 -
My 72 year old mother sometimes dresses like a clown to brighten her friends' day at the Senior Center where she volunteers.
2 - I have a friend at church that keeps a red clown nose in his car.  When he's stuck in traffic, like at a long stoplight, he pops it on and smiles really big
at passengers in vehicles nearby.
3 - And me, well, I put on my clown costume recently and headed out to buy some Blo Pops at Wal-mart.  Then I showed up at a Family Day fundraiser for a local boys' home where I gave the Blo Pops away.
Too many people are walking around all "doom and gloom."  It's time to put on a smile, or maybe a big red clown nose and brighten someone's day.  As of today, I am the proud owner of a blinking red Rudolph nose.  Hey, you never know when you're gonna need one.  "A happy heart makes the face cheerful."  Proverbs 15:13

Little Things

Idea #1 - Print out some Bright Spot cards (image available on homepage) and attach them to a small item to give out randomly... just because!  Suggestions:  a candy bar, an ink pen, a $5 McD's card, a note pad, etc.  It doesn't have to cost a lot.  You will be surprised by how people respond.  You can say, "Just wanted you to have a little Bright Spot in your day!"
