Bean and Rice Bagging Party

December 13, 2014
Bright Spot Ministries hosted a breakfast and bean and rice bagging party on December 13, 2014.  We had a blast working together doing something that will make a difference.  Over 200 bags of beans and rice will be donated to With Love From Jesus in Clayton, NC to help folks in need.  What a blessing to enjoy good fellowship while doing something to bless others.  Our hearts are filled with JOY!

The Christmas Market

Bright Spot Ministries enjoyed giving away ink pens and candy canes at The Christmas Market at Johnston Community College on November 22.  We had big chocolate chip cookies, fuzzy sock sets, and notepad/pen sets for a small donation.

Goodie Bags for Soldiers

A kindergarten class at Neuse Charter School packed Bright Spot goodie bags to bless some military men and women in November.  After learning about Veteran's Day, they were excited about being able to share something special with some important people.

Light the Night Goodie Bags

Kindness Matters Workshop

October 29, 2014
Bright Spot Ministries sponsored a Kindness Matters workshop at the Johnston County Schools Classified Professional Development Day.  The topics covered were:  1 - The importance of being kind to yourself.  2 - Extending kindness in relationships, and 3 - How to start a kindness campaign in your workplace.  Every participant received a goodie bag and also packaged two Random Acts of Kindness surprises to pass along to brighten someone's day.

Free Summer Fun Day

September 2, 2014
Bright Spot Ministries hosted a Free Summer Fun day in our neighborhood on August 16.  We invited our neighbors over for games in the backyard, free hotdogs, snowcones, and school supplies!  We had a puppet skit about how the Good Shepherd takes care of His sheep.  We made salvation bracelets.  We sang some songs, laughed a lot, and gave God the glory for it all!  What a wonderful day.  Our job is obedience; God's job is results.
