Happy Rock Project

A teacher friend shared this wonderful idea with me.  Perhaps we could borrow her idea and put a Bright Spot spin on it.  Thank you Mrs. Kelly Jones for inspiring us to make a difference!

"In an effort to promote positivity, happiness, peace, and love, my students are each designing their own special "Happy Rock" to place around the JCC Campus. Our hope is that the person who finds the "Happy Rock" will experience the peace and happiness in which was intended. I decided to create this project with my students as an ending to our study of the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. I wanted my students to come away from the study with a life long message of hope and peace that they could pass down to their own children one day. So in a time of turbulence and uncertainty, I wanted them to know that things are NOT always as bad as they seem, and you can find Happiness in the smallest of places, and sometimes....when you are not looking for it at all! Happy Rock Hunting...."

"The Happy Rock" by Kelly S. Jones
Don't be worried. Don't be sad. This happy rock will make you glad. Hold it in your hand today, And peace will surely come your way! You may leave it in a public place, To put a smile on another's face! If you give your rock away, Happiness will grow and stay!
