Better Than $100,000

Idea #10 - Purchase some 100 Grand candy bars (you can get regular size or fun size).  Add the labels (available on the homepage) and share them with some folks who need a Bright Spot in their day.  The message on the label says...
Do you know what's better than $100,000?  Knowing you have a home in heaven.
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

Mmmm... Cake

Idea # 9 - Bake a cake to share with your co-workers. Here's a simple and yummy recipe for Sour Cream Pound Cake.
  • 1 box golden butter recipe cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces of sour cream
  • 1 stick of margarine (slightly melted)

Mix all ingredients (with an electric mixer) and pour into a greased and floured (or use cooking spray)bundt pan.  Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. 

Homemade cake will surely brighten someone's day!

Bright Spot Dishcloths

Idea #8 - One of my friends in Hickory, NC is sharing God's love in a tangible way. She randomly gave away over thirty hand-crocheted dishcloths during the Christmas season. Susie said, "You would be surprized at the response from people who normally don't get an extra pat on the back, like the mailman, delivery people and the person at the drivethru or the doctor's office. It blessed me as well."  Way to go Susie!  Thanks for being a Bright Spot!

Go, Do, Be!

Idea #7 - Where are you going today?  What are you doing?  Plan to be a bright spot wherever you are, whatever you're doing.  How?  Smile.  Share a kind word.  Give a compliment.  Help someone.  Call someone.  Send a card.  Visit a neighbor.  Do something!
